Update for the week ending on Friday, May 17, 2019

*Note: A lot of this week got swallowed up by me prepping my house for summer.*

New project research

• Follow up calls with two Goshen stone quarries
  • Received a polite but firm, “no, but maybe in the future” from one of the quarries
• Had a meeting with a second copywriter about workflow and pain points

What Got Done App

• Added better handling for editing previously submitted entries
• Force the user to login if they navigate to the /submit page
• Fixed CORS requests to facilitate local development

Zestful

• Reached out to two new users
• Reached out to one prospective user

Dusty VCR

• Published episode 5: Blast from the Past w/ Laura Fattaruso

Misc

• Learned the KonMari folding method for folding my t-shirts

Beekeeping

• Fed the bees more sugar syrup (used 8 lbs of sugar)
• Researched mobile apps for beekeepers
  • They all kind of suck. Sticking to notes in Google Docs for now

Home maintenance

• Prepped my house for summer
  • Assembled a wicker furniture set
  • Assembled four outdoor wooden chairs
  • Cleaned out my BBQ grill and learned to use it
  • Bought extra indoor chairs for entertaining
  • Bought lanterns for entertaining in my backyard at night
  • Bought stuff for making s’mores
  • Cleaned up my porch
• Planted begonias in my flower boxes
• Mowed lawn
