TinyPilot

Management

• Led dev and support team meetings
• Two 1:1s with staff
• Dealt with a pipe burst at the TinyPilot office
• Reviewed inventory targets

Software development

• Published TinyPilot Pro 2.5.3
• Created a style guide repo
• Added to style guide for bash
• Fixed paths to third-party licenses
• Fixed order tracker to work with orders from our EU distributor

Customer support

• Removed outdated H.264 instructions from TinyPilot website
  • We have a much simpler solution now, but users were finding the old blog post and getting confused

ScreenJournal

ScreenJournal is a new project I just started. The idea is basically Goodreads, but for TV and movies. Or letterboxd, but focused on small communities.

• Render Markdown in email notifications
  • This has the added benefit that I can now send emails in both HTML and plaintext format.
• Added movie posters to the UI

• Added UI for managing notifications
• Edited my go test script so I don’t have to keep scrolling up in the terminal to see test failures

Misc

• Attended town meeting on short-term rentals (i.e., licenses for Airbnbs, VRBO, etc.)
  • Surprisingly productive. The public comments changed my mind about the issue, and everyone was civil and respectful.
• Learned a faster method for tying my shoes
• Fixed freezer defroster
  • It freezes over every 18 months or so and needs to be thawed manually
