Management

• Held first meeting with contract manufacturer and hardware consultants
• 1:1 with local teammate
• Created a plan for winding down inventory in MA office by November 2023
• Coordinated with EU distributor about material deliveries
• Did monthly bookkeeping

• Prepared 2.6.0 for release
• Reviewed fixes to make better use of RAM during TinyPilot install or update

  • They’ve been making a big deal and sending me scary emails for months, and when I finally sat down to do it, it seems like there’s nothing to do except check a bunch of boxes saying I’ve migrated.

• Checked in on new reviewer to verify they received everything

  • I was surprised this was popular. I put it in my “notes” section as it was meant to be quick notes I capture as I learn Nix.
• Worked on a tutorial for installing NixOS on the Raspberry Pi 4
  • All the tutorials I’ve found were either incomplete or didn’t work for me.

• Hosted Indie Founders Western Mass Meetup
• Discovered Cookie Clicker
  • It’s a neat browser-based optimization game.
  • It has some interesting dynamics I’ve never seen before like the fact that you’re incentivized to take breaks from it.
• Did a video call with another indie founder
• Got a haircut.
• Prepared my porch for repainting (other people repainting it).
• Continued complaining to a company that gave my email to a third-party marketing company after I bought a product from them.
• Officially switched over to sharing finances with my fiance.
• Installed the new UPS on my server rack.
  • CyberPower CP1500PFCRM2U is way better than the Tripp Lite SMART1500LCD
  • The Tripp Lite was 2x louder than anything else on my rack, and the CyberPower is totally silent and has better LCD output
• Did monthly bookkeeping for non-TinyPilot businesses
