• Published Using Nix to Fuzz Test a PDF Parser
  • I maybe overinvested in this. It didn’t get traction anywhere but took a long time to write.
  • Still, I learned a lot by writing it, so it was helpful in that way.
• Updated “Running NixOS on Proxmox” so that it works with the latest version of NixOS and Proxmox
• Wrote “Massachusetts Residents Can Sue Online Merchants for Spam”
• Continued working on “Lessons from My First Exit” that I backburnered a few months ago

What Got Done

• Added sqlite to the Nix flake
• Fixed formatting in Privacy Policy
• Trimmed out irrelevant content from Privacy Policy
• Fixed script for downloading my production database
• Revised how I handle .env files

ScreenJournal

ScreenJournal is basically Goodreads, but for TV and movies. Or letterboxd, but focused on small communities.

• Add a web UI for picking the season of a TV show to review

openc2e

openc2e is an open-source reimplementation of the 90s/2000s computer game series Creatures. It started around 20 years ago, and it’s still not nearly done, but it’s exciting that there’s progress.

• Contributed unit tests
  • Not sure if the maintainer will go for it

Misc

• Republished my first-ever website: Mike’s Creatures Chat
  • I created the website when I was 11
  • I knew it was sitting in the Wayback Machine, but with the recent outage, I wanted to make sure I had my own copy
• Voted in US elections by mail
• Started configuring a NixOS server to be my “always on” services server
