• Updated “Don’t Marry Your Podcasting Platform: Host Your Own Podcast Feed” to include instructions on setting the correct canonical URL
• Continued writing notes on Andrej Karpathy’s LLM video
• Started writing notes about Simon Willison’s Software Misadventures podcast appearance

Refactoring English

• Continued working on blog topics chapter
• Merged “Exercises” section into “Tools” section on website

HN Observer

HN Observer is a tool I’m working on to predict the outcome of submissions to Hacker News based on past historical data.

• Adjusted polling rate to cut down disk bloat
• Fixed aggregate data chart
• Changed rank to a log scale
• Adjusted rank scale to always include position 1 as the min
• On the individual post view, moved the title to the top and linked to the HN discussion

Misc

• Complained to a vendor about them violating their own privacy policy in multiple ways
• Hired a handyman to do some babyproofing around the house (install baby gate, mount tippable furniture to wall)
• Hired kids to do some yardwork
