Refactoring English

• Completed chapter summaries
• Did a second editing pass over the first 8ish chapters
• Updated passive voice chapter with more forms of passive voice
• Linked to the RSS feed in the homepage HTML
• Fixed a broken link to the cover designer (who I guess deleted his website)
• Subbmitted to bubbles

Feedback site

• Completed dev-mode sign-in flow (skips sending actual emails)
• Worked on different authorization level enforcement for standard reader vs. admin

Little Moments

Little Moments is an open-source web app I’m working on to replace the current family photo sharing app (TinyBeans) I used (which I strongly dislike).

• Made a couple of minor refactors

Grosiree

Grosiree is a shared grocery list web app I’m making with my wife to show her how vibecoding works.

• Prevented grocery sections from having leading or trailing spaces
• Added a NixCI deployment for Fly.io
• Refactored the types package to not know about JSON
• Refactored the code to use ItemName type throughout core logic (instead of allowing sloppy string type)

Misc

• Did monthly bookkeeping
• Disabled dependabot on zestful-client
• Started setting up Amazon SES because Sendamatic is shutting down
• Added nightly backup of my Buttondown subscriber list
